We are happy to invite paper submissions for the inaugural Baltic Economic Conference that will take place on June 11-12, 2018 at the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania in Vilnius. The Baltic Economic Conference is initiated by the universities and the central banks across the three Baltic States to promote economic research and to integrate the economics communities of the Baltic States into the global academic environment.

The conference is jointly organized with the 7th Annual Lithuanian Conference on Economic Research that has been initiated by the Lithuanian Economics Network.

Hashem Pesaran is the John Elliot Distinguished Chair in Economics at the University of Southern California, Emeritus Professor of Economics at the University of Cambridge, and a Professorial Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge. He has over 200 publications published in leading scientific journals and 20 edited volumes and books in the areas of econometrics, empirical finance and macroeconomics. He is also a leading expert in the economics of oil and the middle-east and his research has been cited almost 70K times according to Google Scholar.

Please submit completed papers in PDF format to vilniusmeeting@gmail.com. Papers in all fields of economics and finance are welcome. Each paper will be assigned to a discussant. The deadline for paper submissions is March 31, 2018. The submitting authors will be notified by April 15, 2018.

The conference is also open to researchers who do not plan to present a paper, subject to space availability. We especially welcome economics community of the Baltics: postgraduate students, professors, independent experts, economics journalists and government officials. Those researchers should send an email indicating their interest by June 1, 2018.
